Grievance Information

Property owners with assessment changes for the year will receive a change of appraisal notice in the mail in June.If a property owner disputes the appraised value, they may grieve.

Grievance forms must be submitted by June 19, 2012 in order to be considered.

This year’s grievance hearings will be held on June 18, 20, 22, 25, 27, and 29 from 9:30am-12:00pm and 1:00-3:00pm. 

No appointments are necessary; come in on one of the dates listed above to be heard.

Dover property owners have the right to appeal or “grieve” their property tax assessments through grievance hearings held by the Dover Board of Listers and the Dover appraiser.   

Only property owners with assessment changes receive a notice; if property owners who did not receive a change of appraisal notice wish to appeal, they may file a grievance.
