About the Film:

"Paradise Paradox" is produced by Olympic ski racer Bode Miller and Emmy Award-winning sports filmmaker Brett Rapkin, and delves into the mental health crisis affecting America's mountain towns. The film also explores the innovative solutions being developed in response to this crisis. Watch the trailer here.

After the screening, we'll have a panel discussion aimed at contributing to the improvement of a community action plan.

Here are some questions to consider during the discussion:

  • What mental health resources are available in our community, including access to trusted adults or professionals?
  • Where do financial relief and strains exist concerning food, housing, and employment? How can we ensure a reasonably safe and stable environment for mental wellness?
  • What social engagements are currently available or needed in our community to foster participation and contribution?
  • How can we progress in destigmatizing mental health and substance misuse?
  • Is there adequate access to recreational activities in our community, considering the importance of exercise, social connection, and play for mental wellness?

Please for this important event and discussion. No tickets are required – just come and share in this special screening and community dialogue.

Feel free to forward this invitation to anyone you think might be interested. We'd love to have as many community members as possible participate in this meaningful event.
