Completion of the Study represents the first step in a multi-year process of considering whether to undertake to build a municipal water system. It analyzes in detail the water quality and adequacy concerns leading to consideration of the system, potential sources of water, possible system service areas and design and connection options, estimates of costs to design, build and operate the system and options for financing. The Study also presents actions to consider should the town elect not to proceed with a municipal water system. Finally, the study report includes recommendations as to next actions to advance the consideration process.
